FIMAG is bringing back street shows with around eighty magic sessions in eleven different spaces on the first weekend of June.

The Torroella de Montgrí International Magic Festival brings together the best magicians and sorcerers on the current scene in a single weekend in a tenth edition in which more award-winning acts will come together than ever.

The Espai Ter, epicenter of major performances

The Espai Ter is once again the epicenter of the event with the most outstanding shows. On Friday, June 3, Adrián Vega presents Área 52 . A show with which he has triumphed internationally. The magician is one of those with the most international projection with awards such as the FISM Europe . The Great International Magic Gala , the most impressive show of the festival, arrives on Saturday 4 with more award-winning acts than ever. Mario López will perform with ‚El milagro de la sal‘, awarded on the North American television program Fool&Us . Also Javi Rufo , winner of the FISM Europe Manipulation and Hall Magic Prize. The Catalans Ramó&Alegria will perform an unusual act with which they received second place in the FISM awards for great illusions. The National Prize for Grasn Illusions, the Magician Edgard , will put on the stage an elegant ‚Dejá Vu‘. Finally, the Belgian Laurent Piron will perform the endearing and poetic Paper Ball that earned him the FISM Europe Grand Prize 2021. The gala will be presented by comedian Judit Martín , popular for her impersonations in programs such as Polònia i l’Està Passant on TV3 or Versió Rac1. The other great show of the 2022 edition is Efímero Live by Jorge Blass . A number that shows the limits that the world of magic can transgress, loaded with unprecedented illusions with interactive experiences that connect the audience in the room with audiences from any corner of the world. It is a show that has won awards at the Vareta Màgica Awards in Monaco and Sigfried and Roy in Las Vegas.

Magic takes back the street

After two years without being able to do so, FIMAG is recovering its street programming. In Plaça de la Vila, the show Toilet by magician Karlus , the Adan Xou Show by magician Adan Xou , and El circ dels impossibles by magician Stigman have been scheduled. On Passeig de Catalunya, the magicians Joana Andreu will perform, with the show Màgica, and Martilda with El Diario de una ilusionista. While in Plaça Pere Rigau, the magic market will be concentrated. The Cinema Montgrí will host the magician Iván Santacruz and in the Convent de les Clarisses, magic workshops will be held with David El Mag and Àlex Ferrer.

Magic in unique spaces, a privilege of proximity

This year’s program also includes up to five spaces (Galeria Àtrium, Palau Solterra, Cine Petit stage, Casa Pastors, La Tina auditorium and pati de les Clarisses) for sessions with very limited capacity (maximum 50 seats) to enjoy shows in the hands of the magician. Comic magic with David Navares ; technological magic with Roger Belso ; micromagic with Mario López ; mentalism and poetry with Alejandro Revuelta ; and close-up magic with Nilo Hidalgo are part of this block. Fimag 2022 has a space for the most irreverent discourse. It will be at the Convent de les Clarisses on Saturday 4 with the magician Lola Mento and the show Lolamentando and on Sunday with J avi Rufo and the show Magia en juego.

Programmers‘ Fair

In parallel, the festival is once again programming FIMAGPro , the 4th Programmers‘ Fair of Catalonia, within the framework of which the first update of the Professional Magic Catalogue of Catalonia will be presented, a tool that includes the bulk of the magic shows currently on the bill throughout the country. The Fimag shows are grouped into different labels or blocks: La Gran Màgia, la Màgia Singular and la Màgia Popular and tickets for the different paid shows can now be purchased on the website .
