The City Council of Torroella de Montgrí and l'Estartit will install 5 self-repair bicycle and electric bicycle charging stations

The Torroella de Montgrí City Council will install five panels with tools to fix bicycles and plugs to charge electric bicycles at different points in Torroella de Montgrí and l’Estartit. Four of these ‚bike tools‘ have been placed within the framework of the Tourism Sustainability Plan and another with the Greenways Consortium. The panels have several essential tools to maintain a bicycle or fix small problems that may occur. These are self-repair and bicycle maintenance stations. These are attached using hooks with rubber bands that allow comfortable and correct handling of the vehicle. The station includes a foot pump to inflate the wheels, 3-4-5 mm hexagonal Allen keys, a wrench, pliers, a flat and Phillips screwdriver and two levers to remove the wheel cover. These are attached to the base using steel cables and enclosed inside the panel. To open it, it works with a returnable euro, like supermarket trolleys. In total, three ‚bike tools‘ will be installed in Torroella de Montgrí and two in l’Estartit. In Torroella, they will be placed at the entrance to the municipality after the bridge over the River Ter, in the CAP area; at the bus station and in the sports area. In l’Estartit, they are located in the bollard parking at the entrance to the town and in Plaça Beatles, next to the Tourist Office. In fact, the latter is already in operation.
