This small hermitage inspired Víctor Català when writing ‚Solitud‘. It is located at the bottom of the Santa Caterina valley, at the foot of Montgrí Castle. From the fortification, a local path leads to the other side of the mountain, where the hermitage is located. It was founded at the end of the 14th century by three monks who came from Montserrat and became a center of popular devotion during the 17th and 18th centuries, coinciding with a time of famine, war and plague.
