Torroella de Montgrí on January 5th is full of events in a Three Kings Festival that will begin at 11 am in the Espai Ter with the collection of the last letters from those boys and girls who have not yet been able to deliver them. At the same time, but until 2 pm, the lantern workshop will take place to prepare the light that will have to guide Their Majesties to their destination. At 1 pm, the Chapel of Sant Antoni will host the inauguration and the Award Ceremony of the 17th Three Kings Poster Drawing Competition. The most anticipated moment of the day will begin at 7:15 pm on the Passeig de Catalunya where the traditional Castell de Focs will welcome Their Majesties who will arrive by the road to l’Estartit. Then, the cavalcade will begin through the streets of the city, through Plaça del Lledoner, Passeig de Catalunya, Passeig Vicenç Bou, Carrer Fora Portal, Carrer Ullà and will end in Plaça de la Vila, where from the balcony of the City Hall Melcior, Gaspar and Baltasar will address the citizens.

In L’Estartit, the Three Kings arrive by sea

In L’Estartit, organised by the Kings of L’Estartit, Their Majesties will arrive at the port at 6.30pm where they will be welcomed by a fireworks display that will be launched from the Platgeta. Their Majesties will then head to the royal camp located in the old Robert restaurant. The cavalcade to the camp will pass along the Promenade where the Kings and the pages will hand out gluten-free sweets. At Campament Reial, families will be able to see how Their Majesties‘ pages work and will also be welcomed by Melchior, Gaspar and Baltasar.
