Tourist enquiries in Torroella and l'Estartit grew by 46% last Easter

Torroella de Montgrí and l’Estartit received 2,116 consultations during Easter at the l’Estartit Tourist Office and the Torroella Tourist Information Point , figures that increase by 46% compared to the previous year and that certify the recovery of tourist activity that is gradually approaching pre-pandemic levels. The Catalan public was the most prominent with 962 consultations followed by the French with 677.

Statistically, the Torroella-Estartit-Illes Medes Tourist Destination counts 15 days as Easter. The actual festive week in Spain and the following week, where the French public enjoys the ‚Easter‘ festival. This means this year, between April 4 and 24.

Active and cultural tourism focuses the visitor’s interest

Once the data has been collected and closed, the tourist recovery of this past Easter is certified. In L’Estartit, the Tourist Office attended 1577 consultations mainly related to general information about the municipality (306 consultations), walking or cycling excursions (284 consultations), cultural activities (211 consultations), and boat excursions (116 consultations). It should be noted that despite the increasingly evident digitalization of visitors, there is still great interest in having a physical map of the destination. 185 were distributed. In terms of nationalities, the French public was the most prominent with 604 consultations followed by Catalan with 579.

In Torroella, mainly Catalan audience

In the case of Torroella de Montgrí, the Tourist Information point of the Museum of the Mediterranean received 539 consultations, the vast majority, 383, from Catalan audiences, followed by French, with 73 consultations.
