Museum of the Mediterranean

Can Quintana, one of the most outstanding historical buildings in the town, is today the seat of a new museum in the town; a museum that opens the doors to the discovery and knowledge of the human space of the Mediterranean starting from the territory of the Montgrí massif, the Baix Ter plain and the Medes Islands.

It is a participatory museum for adults and children, which offers us the opportunity to smell the aromas of the Mediterranean, listen to sounds and music, touch history and enjoy a panoramic audiovisual that brings us closer to today’s Mediterranean reality.
The center carries out intense cultural activity: temporary exhibitions, cultural, social and musical events and has a guided tour service to get to know the museum and the territory throughout the year.
