L’Estartit will once again be transformed into a pirate stronghold from 26 to 28 September 2025 with the return of one of its most iconic events: the Pirates and Corsairs of the Medes Islands Fair. Now in its 21st edition, the fair brings back the much-loved pirate landing on the beach, followed by a spectacular fire parade (correfoc) through the town to mark the start of the weekend.

Over three days, the streets of L’Estartit will come alive with colourful parades, theatrical reenactments, family-friendly shows, craft and artisan markets, music, and a wide variety of pirate-themed activities. The fair, organized by Estació Nàutica de l’Estartit (Estartit Nautic Station) offers a fun way to discover an important chapter in the town’s history.

One of the highlights of the programme is the theatrical landing of the pirates, starting from the beach and moving into the town centre with music, performances and fire.

Families and children will particularly enjoy the interactive pirate parades, guided theatrical visits, craft workshops, pony rides, and the return of the iconic Aixa pirate ship parading through the village streets.

Another key feature this year is the involvement of the Espai Medes, L’Estartit’s new cultural and environmental centre. The venue will host guided tours and pirate-themed activities.

With its mix of history, folklore, culture and fun, the Pirates and Corsairs Fair is one of the Costa Brava’s most unique autumn events and a celebration for all ages.

Next year the Pirate’s fair will be on 25, 26 and 27 of september.
