L’Estartit and Torroella de Montgrí are all set to celebrate Sant Joan, Catalonia’s iconic summer festivity with a vibrant mix of music, fire shows, and local tradition. From June 20 to 24, the town will host a wide range of activities.
L’Estartit kicks off the celebration with the Ítaca Festival, featuring three nights of open-air concerts:
On June 21 at 10:30 PM, don’t miss the spectacular Flock Drone Art Show lighting up the night sky over the beach. Each concert night will also include music sessions by Cavall de Troia.
On June 23, the highlight of the festival, the Flama del Canigó (Canigó Flame) will arrive at Plaça de la Llevantina at 8 PM, greeted by Retumbagralla and Retumbatuka.
Later, at 10:30 PM on the Platja Gran, the Sant Joan bonfire will be lit, featuring a thrilling fire performance by Els Pirats del Foc, again with live drumming by Retumbatuka.
Traditional Catalan Culture
On June 24 at 7 PM, Plaça The Beatles in L’Estartit will host a display of Castells (human towers) by the Castellers de Figueres, joined by local giants group Xiscu and Remei.

Flama del Canigó
To ease mobility during the festivity, four free parking areas will be available in L’Estartit:
On June 23, parking will be prohibited on Passeig Marítim from 8 AM, and the street will close to traffic from 7 PM to midnight.
A safe fireworks zone has been set up at the Platja Gran car park, close to the bonfire area. In case of emergencies, the DYA medical team will be stationed at Passeig Marítim from 9 PM onwards.
