The Coastal Management Department of the Torroella de Montgrí City Council has created an online survey to gather the opinion of users on the state of the beaches and work to improve their services. The survey is carried out every summer and is in Catalan, English, French and Spanish. The format is that of closed questions with multiple choices, where 1 is ‘very poor’ and 5 is ‘very good’. Questions are asked about the quality of the water and sand, the beach services, the staff who take care of it, the signage or cleanliness among others. And at the end there is an open space for users to make comments or suggestions if they wish. Within the municipal area of Torroella de Montgrí we find an important and varied coastal strip with a length of 15 km., approximately, distributed between 5.4 km. of beach and 9.7 km. of rocky coast. Visitors to L’Estartit can choose between a beach with over 5 km of fine sand and shallow water, ideal for the whole family, with a wide range of services, and small coves that can be reached after an excursion on foot or by boat, along the Montgrí coast, and enjoy the tranquility and practice diving.
