The Torroella de Montgrí and l’Estartit Fringe Festival will host 145 young musicians from around the world from July 14 to 20 in 24 concerts of various styles in emblematic spaces in the municipality.
The festival, organized by the Joventuts Musicals de Torroella, is in its ninth edition and has consolidated itself as the platform that showcases young musical talents in styles such as classical music, early music, contemporary music, jazz and roots music.
Among the venues where concerts will take place are Punta del Molinet in l’Estartit, the church of Sant Genís, Plaça de la Vila, Palau Solterra, Casa Galibern, the Museum of the Mediterranean, the Convent of the Augustins and the Espai Ter in Torroella de Montgrí. All concerts are free except those of the Jove Orquestra i Cor Nacional de Catalunya and the Académie d’Ambronay EEEmerging+ , which cost 5 euros.
In parallel with the concerts, and as usual, there will be the EEEmerging+ musical residencies. A European project that promotes the emergence of new talents. Within the framework of this project, three groups are doing musical residencies in Torroella until July 25: The Ministers of Pastime , Pura Corda and Cohaere Ensemble.
