The L'Estartit Tourist Office, the Mediterranean Museum, two routes and three hotels in Torroella de Montgrí and L'Estartit receive a distinction as promoters of inclusive tourism

The Terracotta Ceramics Museum of La Bisbal has received the awards of the Baix Empordà Tourist Accessibility Plan , which has also recognized three establishments in the municipality.

For the third time, companies and tourist services that promote inclusive tourism in the region have been awarded, this time a total of 32 tourist proposals: a leisure company, a bar, 6 hotels, a rural house, 5 museums, 8 tourist offices, 4 beaches, 3 itineraries through the region’s historic centers and 3 nature itineraries. In the case of Torroella de Montgrí and l’Estartit, the following have been awarded: The L’Estartit Tourist Office, the Platja Gran, the Museum of the Mediterranean, the La Pletera itinerary, the Hotel Can Miquel in Torroella de Montgrí, the Mas del Llop Blanc in Torroella de Montgrí and the Hotel Les Illes in l’Estartit. At the event, a diploma of recognition was presented to each company and tourist service and a sticker referring to the type of disability for which they have adapted their offer. The badges refer to visual and hearing disabilities, wheelchair users, reduced mobility and special needs for families.

Tourism for everyone in the Baix Empordà

During the event, the new publication ‘Tourism for everyone in Baix Empordà’ was presented, which includes the tourist companies and services in the region that have passed the accessibility validation visit of their company or tourist service by a company specializing in accessible tourism. The publication, published in Catalan, Spanish, English and French, is distributed through the tourist offices and town halls of the region, and is also available to the companies and services participating in the publication. The publication can also be found digitally on the regional tourism website www.visitemporda.com and is adapted so that blind people can also consult it.
