Torroella de Montgrí and l'Estartit will once again be the official hosts of the international grassroots football tournament MicFootball

The sports fields of Torroella de Montgrí and l’Estartit will once again be one of the official venues of the MICFootball tournament, which will be held from April 4 to 9 in different municipalities in Girona.

The municipality will host the U12A category matches and 4 U1 5 category matches. In total there will be 34 matches in Torroella de Montgrí and l’Estartit between teams such as A C Milian , FC Barcelona , ​​Manchester Utd or Real Madrid among others. 14 of these teams are staying in hotels in the municipality, which implies more than 500 people staying. The overall competition will be played in 35 municipalities and will do so with the participation of 344 teams, divided into 9 categories. The event will have more than 7,000 participants from 33 countries on five continents. Figueres will host the inauguration and will repeat, together with Palamós , as the venues for the 9 finals that will be distributed between Saturday and Sunday of that week. Recognized as one of the most prestigious grassroots football tournaments in the world, MICFootball has as sponsors for this edition Eric Garcia , Ansu Fati and Laia Codina , footballers from the first men’s and women’s teams of FC Barcelona.
