Santa Anna' Street: The Heart of L’Estartit
Santa Anna’s Street is one of the most important streets in L’Estartit. In the past, it was also known as Carrer de Davant, reflecting its central role in the town’s commercial and social life. Over time, its importance has made it the main axis of L’Estartit, where the small shops add vibrant energy to the village.
At the heart of the street stands the church of Santa Anna, dedicated to the town’s patron saint, built on top of an 18th-century chapel. At the beginning of the 20th century, the chapel was renovated by the family of Pere Coll, a businessman who made his fortune in Cuba. This renovation serves as a tribute to his legacy, further adding to the historical and cultural significance of Carrer de Santa Anna.
