Torroella de Montgrí
Continuing along the same pavement as the Portal of Santa Caterina, you will come across the Witches’ Tower, a 12-meter-high circular tower that once formed part of the medieval wall surrounding Torroella de Montgrí.
According to local legend, this tower was the site where witches cast spells to prevent a Catalan-Aragonese king from passing through, adding an air of mystery to its historical significance. Today, it stands as a fascinating remnant of the town’s fortified past, blending history and folklore.
