The visit will be led by the art historian, Marta Pericas ; and the electronic engineer, Sergio Cuadros . Two deaf people who are signers. At the same time, to make it accessible to everyone, they will be accompanied by an interpreter who will provide voice so that hearing people can also follow the visits, in addition to facilitating lip reading for oral deaf people who, at the same time, will be able to read the transcription.
The councilor of the Museu de la Mediterrània, Pilar Valls , highly values this initiative and argues that “the promotion of inclusive culture is, precisely, one of the museum’s priorities”. For this reason, she adds, “we work year after year to achieve the most universal and quality accessibility possible for everyone”. The project is promoted by the Department of Culture of the Generalitat and the Association of Deaf People of Vic and the Region.
