Torroella - l'Estartit - Illes Medes participates in a conference on tourism intelligence

The Torroella-Estartit-Illes Medes Destination participated in the Conference on tourist intelligence in destinations and regenerative experiences that was held this Thursday in Rupit .

The objective of the meeting is to put on the table the new trends of local consumption that have an impact on destinations and the natural spaces that are nearby and the way in which destinations can be managed from a tourism intelligence perspective . Also to consider regenerative tourism as an opportunity for the territory and its tourism sustainability.

Axis of tourism development in Torroella and l’Estartit

These two axes are key in the tourism development policies of the municipality, which has long been committed to sustainability as the gravitational center of its tourism model. A model reinforced with the Tourism Sustainability Plan that is being developed and to which is added the recent incorporation of the Destination into the Spanish Network of Smart Tourist Destinations , with which it will work to better exploit tourism resources, identify new ones and improve the efficiency of their production and marketing processes. The day had several talks, presentations and round tables in which it was possible to share the future challenges of the ‘charming towns’ and the experiences of the different tourist destinations in terms of sustainability and intelligence.
