20 landscapes to dream about on the Costa Brava, including the Medes Islands

It has been 20 years since the archipelago became the Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter Natural Park, which has led to its recovery. This 23-hectare protected area, of incalculable value, preserves one of the most important biodiversity in the Mediterranean and is one of the most magical hidden coves on the Costa Brava. The Medes Islands are the hallmark of L’Estartit, a municipality on the Costa Brava that is very popular with divers. Because in addition to a living seabed, there are numerous caves and underground tunnels, as well as two shipwrecks: the Reggio Mesina, in 1991, and the ship Avvenire (also known as Marmoler) that was wrecked in Cala Montgó in 1971.
