The surveillance service for the beaches of Torroella and L’Estartit is expanding its operating days and extending its coverage to Cala Montgó .
Coinciding with the start of the high season, the service will be provided at Platja Gran de l’Estartit and Cala Montgó daily from 11am to 6pm. In July, Mas Pinell beach will be added. In terms of accessibility, the lifeguard stations have amphibious chairs, crutches and elements to help people with reduced mobility enjoy the beaches.
Torroella i l’Estartit has over 5 km of fine, shallow sand, some of which are of high natural value and are practically virgin and very extensive. The most outstanding are Cala Montgó, Platja Gran, els Griells, la Pletera, la Gola, Mas Pinell and la Fonollera. To these we must add the small coves that can be reached after a walk or boat trip, along the Montgrí coast, where you can enjoy diving. The beaches of the municipality can accommodate an average of 40,000 daily users in high season.
