Torroella de Montgrí has received the blue flag that accredits the quality of Cala Montgó in a ceremony held on the Fosca beach in Palamós.
The Minister for Climate Action, Teresa Jordà , has presented the banners to the municipalities of Girona that have been recognized for the environmental management of their beaches, the safety of bathing areas, the provision of services, the quality of the water and the information they provide.
In Torroella de Montgrí, Cala Montgó has revalidated a label that it achieved in 2008 and that it has maintained uninterruptedly since 2010. Across the country, 94 beaches have been recognized with the blue flag, 26 of which correspond to the Girona Regions.
