As the summer season gets underway, Torroella de Montgrí and L’Estartit are reinforcing beach services to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors.
From 13 June, lifeguard and rescue services will operate daily on L’Estartit’s main beach and Cala Montgó, from 11 am to 6 pm.
During July and August, service hours will be extended from 10 am to 7 pm at both beaches. Lifeguard coverage will also be available at Mas Pinell beach from 11 am to 6.30 pm throughout the summer.
L’Estartit’s main beach is equipped with adapted facilities to help people with reduced mobility enjoy the sea, including amphibious wheelchairs, crutches and other support equipment, reinforcing the destination’s commitment to accessible tourism.
In July and August, families can also enjoy the Mini Beach Club, located next to the lifeguard station on the main beach. Open daily from 10 am to 1 pm, it offers supervised activities for children, allowing families to make the most of their time by the sea.
With more than five kilometres of coastline, Torroella de Montgrí and L’Estartit offer a wide variety of bathing areas, from long sandy beaches with shallow waters to natural coves surrounded by the Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter Natural Park.
The expansion of lifeguard services is part of the range of facilities and services available during the summer to ensure comfort, safety and a high-quality visitor experience.
