They say that the Montgrí massif is shaped like a bishop lying down with a ring on his finger. The bishop is the mountain and the ring is the castle that bears the same name and that stands imposingly on top. A route goes up from Torroella de Montgrí. Once at the top, you can access the castle towers via a spiral staircase. From there, the view over Empordà and the Medes Islands is impressive.
