A treasure map with a gift.
From this September, two new resources are added to the panels and the activity book: A treasure map and a tale. The treasure map allows families to follow the route and asks a question about the information that appears on the panels at each point of interest. Once all have been answered, families can take the map to the Tourist Office where they will receive a little gift from 21th septembre
Regarding to the tale, it is a small book of 18 pages with illustrations by Amanda Casanovas, where Estar and Tit are looking for the secret of happiness. In his research, they will find very interesting answers about the different fauna and flora that live in the natural park of Montgrí, the Medes Islands and the Baix Ter.
Educational proposals for schools
Beyond the self-guided routes for families on their free visit to l’Estartit, the natural and fishing heritage development project takes advantage of Estar and Tit characters to create educational proposals for children and teenagers.
Through the narrator’s voice of the two characters materials adapted to the curriculum of each education stage have been created.
A project with European funding
The project to enhance the natural and fishing heritage of L’Estartit is co-financed by the European Maritime Fund and Fishing.
The panels, activity book and treasure map are edited in Catalan, English, French and Spanish and the tale, for the moment, only in Catalan. All resources can be requested at L’Estartit Tourist Office.
Since 2007, Torroella de Montgrí and l’Estartit have been certified with the Familiar Tourism Destination (DTF) brand, created by the Catalan Tourism with the aim of distinguishing those municipalities that have the appropriate resources to guarantee a good family holiday.
