Montgrí Aigua, responsible for supplying drinking water to Torroella de Montgrí and l’Estartit, has launched a communication campaign aimed at the municipality’s tourism establishments to facilitate the task of informing their customers about drought and water supply issues.
The water-saving campaign aimed at the tourism sector, “Take back memories, not water,” has been designed by the Catalan Water Agency, and the municipality has customized it with the Montgrí Aigua logo. Copies of all communication materials have been printed and sent to tourism establishments.
The communication kits, which will be sent to the Torroella and l’Estartit tourism establishments, include A3 posters, informative brochures in Catalan, English, French, and Spanish, tabletop displays for receptions or rooms, and stickers. This material will be sent to hotels, campsites, real estate agencies, tourist apartments, rural tourism houses, motorhome areas, and colony houses within the municipal area.
All communication materials can be downloaded from the Montgrí Aigua website
The campaign “Take back memories, not water” was created by the Catalan Water Agency, Eurecat, and the Catalan Water Partnership within the framework of the Life Wat’saveruse project, promoted by the Catalonia, Balearic Islands, Occitania Euroregion to encourage water saving.
This campaign is available in four languages (Catalan, English, French, and Spanish), is highly visual, and provides direct messages to encourage water saving among tourists by explaining Catalonia’s water reality, with its scarce and insufficient Mediterranean rivers
