An award with international recognition
The Blue Flag is a certification recognised in 60 countries all over the world, and granted by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) that assures that a beach, marina, or sustainable boating tourism operator meets its standards.
A jury of 69 people representing public administrations, environmental foundations and experts analyzes standards for quality, safety, environmental education and information, the provision of services and general environmental management criteria. In addition, to obtain the flag, the quality of water must be excellent.
Spain is the country that has the most blue flags in the world with 729, followed by Greece and Turkey.
