The Fringe Festival of Torroella de Montgrí and l’Estartit reaches its tenth edition with 14 free concerts by fifty artists in emblematic spaces of the municipality.
The Festival, organized by the ‘Joventuts Musicals de Torroella de Montgrí’ , starts this Saturday, July 15th, and will last until Wednesday, July 19 th. It is a summer meeting point for the best emerging musical talent.
Torroella de Montgrí will host concerts of ancient, classical and contemporary music at the Palau Solterra, the Casa Galibern, the Plaça de la Vila or the Cine Petit. L’Estartit will host jazz, flamenco and author music concerts. The scenario for this performances is the Molinet, with privileged views of the Medes Islands and a bar and food truck area.
The best emergint talent
The names that will pass through the Fringe are: pianist Carles Marigó, percussionist David Domínguez, bassist Ismael Alcina, the Anacronía quintet, soprano Aida Gimeno, pianist Carlos Sanchís, accordionist Marta Cubas, guitarist Ausiàs Parejo, flutist Sofía Salazar, pianist Pablo López, pianist Laura Ballestrino, the Capmany Trio, the cellists of Northern Cellos, the dancer Marc Vilajuana, the Miranda Fernández Trio, the Jan Domènech quintet and the Paul Peso Quintet.
On Saturday the Fringe will host a concert by the ensemble of the EEEmerging+ I Zefirelli project, which until July 17th is doing a musical residency in the municipality.
