9. Santa Anna fountain

Santa Anna fountain has been here since the 19th century (1875). This is L’Estartit’s most important and popular fountain. It supplied the town with drinking water and was at the same time used as a wash house. In addition to that, it also served as a meeting place for the townspeople. The water came down from the Montgrí mountains.

This monument has now been sponsored by the Portitxol School in L’Estartit.
