Motorized access to the Montgrí Natural Park has been closed due to the high risk of forest fire. This is a measure that is taken every year and will last until the end of the summer season.
This measure aims to reduce the risk of a forest fire and guarantee the safety of property and the protection of people living in areas close to the forest. The Environment Brigade has installed 8 mobile barriers, in addition to the fixed barriers that are already there all year. Informative posters have also been placed at the main accesses to the massif.
Despite the traffic restrictions, the City Council will issue authorizations to people or residents who must access there for reasons of residence or work.
Violation of these restrictions can be sanctioned with fines.
