Pete Best, the Beatles’ first drummer, will be the main attraction of the 17th edition of the Estartit Beatles Weekend festival, from July 4th to 9th.
Best was part of the group between 1960 and 1962. Born in India, but moved to Liverpool at a young age, his mother, Mona Best, owned the Casbah Club, a meeting place for the young man and where the Quarrymen, John Lennon’s first group, played before The Beatles. When the group was created, it contacted Best. In the summer of 1962 Best was replaced by Ringo Starr and the headliner of the Beatles Weekend continued with its musical career.
The Pete Best Band concert will take place on Saturday 8th July on the Molinet.
