The Sant Andreu Festival recovers horse exhibitions and celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Shepherd Dog Contest in a weekend full of activities. On November 26th and 27th, the village celebrates the Catalan oldest Agricultural and Commercial which reaches the 628th edition.
The Festival ‘leitmotiv’ will be how the arrive of electricity changes the live of the inhabitants of Torroella. An element that will be explained with the theatralized guided visits in different places of the old town.
The weekend in Torroella will start on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the opening of the commercial exhibition in the Espai Ter. The surrounding sreets of this infrastructure will host the familiar workshops and the markets and exhibition of second hand cars and farm equipment.
Horse Festival and Shepherd Dog Contest, the main activities
Santi Serra will come back to the stage with an exhibition of horse dressage. The horse festival within the Sant Andreu Festival will have ponies, carousels and other equestrian exhibitions. After the performance, Santi Serra will sign his new book at the Espai Ter.

The Sant Andreu Festival has a space for farm animals in which cows gain importance with new breeds.
Other animals with presence in the event are the Pigeon with the Girona’s Provincial Pigeon Championship.
Activities for all kinds of audiences
During the weekend, many activities have been programmed such as workshops, petanque championship, guided visits to the local church, rhythmic gymnastics exhibition, quiz time, concerts and popular parades.
