The Three Wise Men are on their way to Torroella de Montgrí and l’Estartit to live the most magical night of the year. The municipality has prepared everything to greet Their Majesties with workshops and the traditional parades.
In Torroella de Montgrí, the day will begin at 11 AM at Plaça del Mestre Pere Rigau, where children can take part in the Royal Lantern Workshop, creating lanterns to guide the Wise Men during their parade through the town. Simultaneously, the Royal Postmen will collect last-minute letters at Plaça de la Vila, from 11 AM to 4 PM.
The traditional parade route
At 7:15 PM, an impressive fireworks display at Passeig de Catalunya will welcome Their Majesties to Torroella de Montgrí, arriving as usual via the road from l’Estartit. The parade will follow its traditional route, heading down Passeig Catalunya to the roundabout, turning right onto Passeig Vicenç Bou, continuing through Plaça d’Espanya, and onto Carrer d’Ullà. This street will lead Their Majesties to Plaça de la Vila, where, from the balcony of the Town Hall, Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar will greet the crowd and receive the keys to open all the doors in the municipality.
Maritime arrival and royal camp in l’Estartit
In l’Estartit, the festivities begin at 6:30 PM with the arrival of the Three Wise Men by sea at La Platgeta. A fireworks display will kick off the parade, which will proceed along Passeig Marítim to the gardens of Casa Salietti, where the Royal Camp will be set up. Families can deliver their final letters to the royal pages and greet Their Majesties in person
