4. Der Strand

L’Estartit has a 3 km long beach with fine sand and shallow water, lying between the town’s harbour and the mouth of the River Ter.

 In the past, the beach of L’Estartit was used by the fishermen to moor their boats in bad weather. Today it can be enjoyed in many ways: for swimming, playing on the sand, sunbathing or doing various kinds of sports.

You can use binoculars to watch birds while walking on the sand, you can practice yoga under the sunshade or read on a sunbed.

Between the swimming buoys we can enjoy and have fun swimming and snorkelling. Out of the swimming buoys we can do kitesurfing and windsurfing, paddle surfing, kayaking and pedalos.
