Portal of Santa Caterina

Torroella was a walled town until the end of the 19th century. Fortunately, some sections of the wall have been preserved, such as the portal of Santa Caterina.

The old wall had six gates, but only the tower of the portal of Santa Caterina is preserved. If you pass under the tower door and go along the pavement on the left, you will be able to see some sections of medieval wall.
