Cala Montgó has revalidated the Blue Flag that certifies the good environmental status and services on the beach.
In Catalonia, 94 beaches have been recognized with the Blue Flag, 26 of them from the Costa Brava.
Cala Montgó has this certificate uninterruptedly since 2010.
An award that certifies environmental quality and services
The Blue Flag is a certification by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) that a beach, marina, or sustainable boating tourism operator meets its standards.
It is recognised in 60 countries all over the world. Blue Flag criteria include standards for quality, safety, environmental education and information, the provision of services and general environmental management criteria.
