Carrer de Santa Anna is still today one of l’Estartit’s most important streets. In the past, it was also known as the “Carrer de Davant” (Front Street). Its commercial and social importance made it the main hub of l’Estartit. The small shops that lined the street gave life to the town, together with processions and other events.
The church of Santa Anna, the patron saint of l’Estartit, was built on an 18th-century chapel. It was restored by Pere Coll’s family in the 20th century in memory of the legendary americano.
