The Fringe Festival of Torroella de Montgrí and L’Estartit hosts from 14th to 20th July 145 young musicians in 24 concerts of various styles in emblematic spaces.
The festival, organized by the Joventuts Musicals de Torroella reaches its ninth edition, consolidated as the platform that helps young talents of classical music, contemporary music, jazz and traditional music.
Performances in stunning scenarios
The spaces which will be the scenario of the concerts are Punta del Molinet in L’Estartit, Sant Genis’ Church, La Vila Square, Palau Solterra, Casa Galibern, Museum de la Mediterrània, Convent dels Agustins and Espai Ter of Torroella de Montgrí.
All concerts are free except the performance of the Jove Orquestra and Cor Nacional de Catalunya and the Académie d’Ambronay EEEmerging +, which cost both 5 euros.
Musical residences in Torroella
In parallel to the concerts there will be the EEEmerging + music residences. A European project that promotes the emergence of new talent. As part of this project, three groups will hold musical residencies in Torroella until 25th July: The Ministers of Pastime, Pura Corda and Cohaere Ensemble.
