The Solterra Palace Hosts One Of The Headquarters Of The Vila Casas Foundation Since 2000, An Institution That Develops Varied Activities In The Field Of Art, Healthcare And Their Dissemination. In Its First Stage It Concentrated A Good Part Of The Permanent Painting Fund And In 2008 It Transformed Into A Space Monographically Dedicated To Photography Which Turns It Into A Unique Equipment In The Region Of Girona.

The Foundation Has Developed A Vision Which Goes Further Than Conventionalities And Has Focused On The Formal Aspects And The Common Messages Among The Different Creations, Independently Of Their Geographical Procedence Or Historic Moment.

It Is A Bridge Of Dialogue Where Formal And Conceptual Links Are Established Between The Visitors And The Image. We Can Find Multiple Resources Applied To Photography Which Create New Languages That Set A Standard In The Representation And Vision Of The Reality Thanks To Artists Of International Projection Such As Miserachs, Ouka Lele, Frank Horvat  or Toni Catany, Among Others.
