The MIC has begun in L’Estartit in a football field without any free seat. The town is one of four venues for the inauguration of a Youth Soccer World Cup that returns after two years of absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Torroella de Montgrí and L’Estartit are the headquarters of the U12 category, whose teams met this morning at the football field to receive accreditation and a commemorative souvenir of the sporting event.
The local authorities have received the teams and welcomed them. The mayor, Jordi Colomí stated that “Torroella I L’Estartit is a municipality rich in landscape, territory and heritage” and invited the teams to visit it.
